The "Man in the Moon" has been a favorite studio prop for photographers since the turn of the 20th century.
This image is a RPPC with AZO back and dates from about 1910- 1920. The woman has written on the back chiding the recipient for not writing letters.

I have some pictues using this prop also pretty popular around this time....
I posted a picture of my Grandmother riding the moon. Love the motif.
Years ago I had a party and an artist friend of mine painted a giant moon for people to pose for photos. It was a huge hit.

Love your photos scott & if you read this thanks for commenting on my military pins ect. When I learn to take pics I will post again. I didn't know they were so bad up close. Thanks to pop chrisnp Ar8 and all who saw and commented before they were deleted as they should have.
