As far as I know, this is depression glass, but I am unsure of the pattern name or the maker. There are no markings on the bowl to identify from what company it came from. Would appreciate any info I can get. I got this for my mom for mother's day because she loved the color and pattern. She doesn't know I got it for her and I would love to be able to identify it before I give it to her! Thanks!
You can Google 'pattern glass' and they will show you all of the different patterns.
The biggest trouble is that there are so many patterns and it's very time consuming to chase them down. It's very pretty and I really hope someone here helps you but you might start doing some digging yourself if you really want to know, I got 11 Million hit using 'pattern glass'.
actually this is considered depression glass as it is thin machine pressed and relatively inexpensive. This four toed bowl was made by Jeannette Glass in various colors and called Lombardi.
Wow, thank you both so much and I am very happy to find out what it is! I will still do some research on it and the kind it is and have a nice little printout for mom to go with it!
This pattern was not produced until the 1950s, so too late to be Depression Glass. Could even be later than the 50s when Jeannette was making those large "Log" compotes with Floragold "Louisa" pattern in bottom of bowl in this color. Fits into the category of 40s, 50s, & 60s glassware. This pattern is acutally a copy of Northwood's Louis XV pattern, though not exact.
agreed, Paul. Only dates I ran across were mid to late 1950s. Even tho' actually post-depression era glass many collectors do consider this 'style' of glass as depression. Thus is is easier to research that way.
That is really great info. I saw one online during my researching that said it was only made from 1957-1958.
Beautiful piece of glass. I love the shape and the colour.
Thank you Lori. My mom picked it up and carried it around saying how much she liked it and then she sat it back down finding excuses for not buying it for herself, so I went back and got it for her. I also loved the shape and color. Never saw such a light aqua color with such a pretty pattern. Thank you.
