I BOUGHT THIS FROM A GUY SHORT ON BILL MONEY. I DON'T KNOW A LOT ABOUT CLOCKS BUT I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS ONE ON SIGHT. VERY ORNATE. LOOKS TO ME PRESSED BRASS. THE WEIGHTS ARE VERY VERY HEAVY. HE HAD IT RUNNING AND IT CHIMES ON THE HALF HOUR AND HOUR. IT NEEDS SOME FINITE DETAIL WORK BUT IS COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL. THE PENDULUM IS OVER 40 INCHES LONG. THE CLOCK IS 16 INCHES TALL BY 13 INCHES WIDE. THE CHIME IS ALMOST 6 INCHES ACROSS AND HAS A BEAUTIFUL TONE.JUST KNOW I LIKED IT ON SIGHT. NO IDEA AS TO AGE OR VALUE.
It looks like you may have a French Morbier Wall Clock, or at least a reproduction French Wall Clock with a genuine Morbier Movement. Search using those keywords and you might find something similar to your clock. The maker, or retailer's name on the dial may be very helpful too. French clocks can be notoriously hard to date accurately. They can be very valuable if they are genuine and original. It's a very nice, ornate clock in any case. Good luck!
THANKS BRUCE99 THE INFO IS APPRECIATED.
It is indeed a French Morbier or Comtoise clock.
It is one of latest that were produced around 1900-1910.
