I had been wondering about this bowl after having bought it here in Sydney Australia 18 months ago at a Collector's Fair.
It is marked with the etched WALSH / ENGLAND mark within their typical wide ground pontil. That mark suggests a date after 1927. It's bowl number A4514 of a range called: Iridescent introduced in 1929.
It has a real bell tone when knocked.
The iridescence is discreet.
The metal is a sea blue, called 'Moonbeam'.
I really like the internal ribbed effect too.
There are sixteen of them.
It is 21 cm (10.2") in diameter & 10 cm (4") high.
Thanks too to Leah Goodwin!
