Here are several more items I have dug up over the years metal detecting. The first is a token “Good For One Cake Crystal White Laundry Soap, Free When You Buy One Cake”, the Palmolive-Peet Co., Chicago.
Here is a little history to help date this token.
1926-Soap manufacturers Palmolive and Peet merge to become Palmolive-Peet Company.
1928-Colgate merges with Palmolive-Peet to become Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company.
It appears this tokes was only used for about two years.
The other is a Bull Throwing Award. The reverse says, “Awarded to W. A. Miller In Recognition Of Your Natural Ability”. It appears to have been hung on a chain of some kind.
enjoy
You ever use Crystal soap? I think I have a bar somewhere
No, is it still made?
I don'tknow when they stopped making it. I think I sold it at my first job 1953
Than k you very much Manikin, pickingupbones & trgrubaugh for stopping by.
The bull throwing one is real cool.
Thank you very much for the nice comment Trey. Yes it is kind of interesting with the name engraving on it. Probably had a clasp and was attached to something you wore around your neck.
Thank you very much for the love BELLIN68, miKKoChristmas11, Trey , gargoylecollector & ttomtucker.
