    (2 items)

They are both quite beautiful, clear crystal glass and frosted on the figures and on the bottom with the heads of either lions or dolphins. Each one is 11 7/8" tall, the figures are 5 3/4" bottom base is 4 3/4" wide. Each weighs 1 lb 11 0z. I had them on my fireplace mantel and they keep speaking to me to find out where they come from. Any help would be appreaciated

I did list these on ebay and someone with a large collection of oil lamps sent me the information I was looking for. He said these are very scarce and the are Whale oil Lace Makers Lamps made before 1890.

I did find out that these are made in Portieux, Vallerysthal France - still don't know what they are (someone guessed that the round bowl at top was used for putting an Ivy plant into it. Also put oil in the bowl with floating wick
