It may look like a strange ice cream scoop, but it was an ingenious creation!
This disher was produced by the Fisher Motor Co., LTD., Orillia, Ontario, Canada. A patent was granted to the inventor Frederick W. Vollans on August 10, 1926.
You would press the cylinder into the ice cream. Then when you pulled the lever, it would extract a cylindrical serving of ice cream.
"Cold Dog" was a pure chocolate covered cylinder of crispy cake and filled with ice cream. Sounds good huh?! This disher was created to to fill it with easily with ice cream.
There are many other cylinder dishers out there, and probably used to create similar ice cream delights.
Got any to sell?
Maybe to trade or donate?
Or do you have a couple you'd like more information on?
I'm interested! Feel free to contact me anytime!
I'd love to hear from you!
Cheers

yummm!!!
I have a collection of about 100 dishers yet the "Cold Dog" keeps slippling out of my grasp. If you locate an extra let me know.
Like wise I am trying to get a cold dog yet I keep missing them. Would you like to part with yours.
Sorry, I don't have one of these. Wish I did!
seen a lot of scoops at an ice cream parlor where the owner collected about 40 odd scoops and hung them in a showcase. He didn't have, nor have I ever seen one such as this cold dog...…. Great Collection!
