Medici comes in quite a few ground colors. This "spreading chestnut" is the warmest of the tones and shows great contrast. This decor is characterized by the pulled oil spot iridescence that typically splits the vase into columns...look closely and you can see how this was achieved. You can see the slightest separation that defines the distinct areas. This one has significant presence, standing 6 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" wide.

The photos that you have taken of this vase do a nice job of depicting what "Spreading Chestnut" actually looks like in real life which is a rich bronze tone. Many photos that I have seen of Medici in Spreading Chestnut have had a Russian Green cast. While Russian Green is a much rarer color for this decor, I think Medici in Spreading Chestnut really shows off the decoration.
