Picking-an…

This is one from my son's collection, he found it in a neighborhood antique shop and had to have it. It accepts nickels, dimes, and quarters. Put the coin in the slot, pull the lever, and it adds up how much you've saved so far. The cash drawer won't open to get access to your cash until you reach ten dollars.
This Is really Cool!!!
I have one similar to this, mine has a swirl type paint and is made by American Can Company. It belonged to my Mother-in-law.Am guessing that mine is from the late 1920s or early 1930s.Thank for posing the picture,if I knew how would post one also.
Lee, ours was made by the Durable Toy and Novelty Co. Looks like they made them from about 1906-1958 with only small changes, making it difficult to identify exact year. I did find a link to one made by the American Can Company, you might want to take a look and see if it looks like yours. ://www.goantiques.com/scripts/images,id,1857369.html
