I need help identifying how old this trunk might be. It's about 38 inches tall and very heavy. It's already was restored by a trunk company in Chicago over 50 years ago.

That is a lovely trunk you have. I can tell by the cast iron latches and trunk style that it is from around late 1880's maybe into '90's. Usually there is a patent date on the latches or lock that will tell you its earliest possible date. Thanks for posting -- hope this helps.
