I found this lens (somewhere) but not with our old cars or parts. It just kills me because i know ive seen this on a vehicle somewhere/sometime.Marked "U.S.A." only,pict#2 shows the "wedge" style of mounting. Its 2 3/4" T X 2 1/8" W O.D. & the bulb opening is 1 5/8" diam. O.D.1 5/16" I.D.with a heavy lip. help, anyone? 1/2 of me thinks it could be off of a motorcycle, the other says 30-40 auto. Both of me are probably wrong.
it's a water or seed holder for a bird cage. It mounts between the vertical wire rods of the cage.

Hea TallCakes, i think u could still mount it on the back of a motorcycle!!At least i could imagine some of the guinius "noodlers" around here doing it.

It is an old type feeder but don't throw it away. We have a house full of birds and frequently go to bird shows and fairs. There is a market for these as many people collect old fancy bird cages and these feeders are missing. Not big money but anything is better than nothing.
