Jema Holland lamps were made through the 1940's & 50's in Holland by the Mager brothers, one being named "Jelis" which is where the name "Jema" comes from. I have 13 Lamps made by Jema, mostly fish & shell lamps though there are others such as dogs and this Polar bear lamp, birds also featured predominantly. Jema made mainly figurines but in there hey day also made these lamps and 82 different clocks (see my Jema Holland clock collection here too). I have been collecting Jema Holland clocks & lamps now for 8 years & have even built & own the www.jemaholland.com website as a collocetors resource for prople who collect or want more information about Jema Holland. The clocks & lamps are wonderful & look amazing in our home, the clocks all work & we still use most of the lamps & swap them around regularly. I joke with Fiona & we have a mantlepiece where display the clock & lamp of the week and use them to keep them running well.
