Here is an interesting document. This is a money collection sheet for Battery “A”, 780th Field Artillery, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, dated April 30, 1942.
It lists money owed for such things as Post Exchange, Pool, Tailor, Barber, Photographs, Battery Fund, and Theater. It is interesting to see what things cost during WW II.
    Enjoy.

Very cool piece packrat ! I looked to be sure none of my family was on there and were owed money by USA :-)

Thank you very much Mani. The sheet was actually much longer, however, I decided to just photograph the top and bottom, so it was more readable.

Good to see most spent money on photographs-- it has given me something to collect!

My first thought was how great to pay only a dollar for a haircut. Then I remembered what army haircuts were like.

Chris-- you can still get some dollar haircuts overseas!
