Hi every one i was wondering can any one tell me what the Pat. Pend means on this truck ?
I bought this truck it was blue that some one had painted awful job
So i stripped it to restore it back to the color white thats where i found the Pat. Pend stamp on the bottom of the back window.
Im trying to get a pic of it but it wont show up My friend has two of these trucks nether one has the marking like mine all so his grill has a opening where mine dont. My bumper all so has a T Where his dont.
If you can give me any help on this please email me at thatthing85@yahoo.com

I need help what dose the Pat. Pend mean on this truck & all so is it rare & can you help with what year it is
Thank you
The "pat pend" stamp means "patent pending" and is very common on these. As far as the date, I wouldn't have any idea.
Thank you so much gdigger3 you helped me a lot im glad i found this sight
Thanks again
Meredith
Wow, you did a great job on the restoration!
I agree with chevy59, beautiful work. The reason for the Pat Pend may be that this was the introduction of the new model of the Tonka Wrecking Truck. Here is a link to the previous Wrecker from 1957:

Thank you chevy59 glad you like it . Your car is in its own class AWSOME
The color fits like glove again AWSOME
Thank you fourpeesake I love restoreing them & thank you for the info
With the T in the bumper it is a 1961.
I'm pretty sure that fleetside type bed first came on the 1962 truck with the generic cab. I think you have a 1961 cab on a 1962 -63 truck (or a 62-63 bed on a 61 truck).
Nice repaint.
Thank you AzTom your info was a big help as im new to this hobby
