If you want to find the value of something like this, you really should have it looked at by a professional document appraiser. Historical documents are a lot different to evaluate than say, an old Coca Cola sign or a vintage pocket watch. As I've read here many times, something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. You might check on eBay to see if there are any similar certificates up for auction.

thanks for the respond you know what you are absolutely correct it is all about who wants to buy it .. there was 1 at a auction that i did find but it wouldn't let me see what it sold for ..i see alot of herbert hoover stuff on ebay in the thousands when he was president ..the piece i have is before he was president which to me should make it more valuable but who knows ha ha.. its like baseball you get a rookie card from a great player if they go big then that rookie card becomes more valuable ...thanks for your insight stef looks like i have to get myself an appraiser on this 1 // happy treasure digging
