This small individual ash tray is made to resemble a larger chamber pot (very appropriate for Hitler's likeness). On the inside is a picture of Hitler. Each side has a short anti Hitler sentiment.
The last picture shows the item next to a WW2 US Army Air Corps enlisted brass insignia (about the size of a quarter).
This was made by Fieldings in England and is so marked on the bottom. It was made early in WW2.
Thanks for looking.

I've seen the large chamber pot but have never seen the ashtray. Good find!
I've never seen a larger one-- so we are even majestic!

In England after WWI the slang term for a chamber pot was 'jerry',
The shape of the German helmet was likened to the 'pot'.
A generation later and the potters got political again.
The English have a history of using images of political characters in chamber pots as satire. The size of the item and its function add layers of meaning to this fascinating piece of history. Great item. Thanks for sharing it!
Thanks for sharing the information vetraio.

Great piece Scott. I have a Dagwood ABC book with the Axis being spanked. Believe it is in storage, will try and dig it out soon. You will get a kick out of it.
Thanks for looking amber.
I'd like to see the ABC book-- give me a heads up when you post it.

When I said it is the first one I have seen I did not mean this exact one as I have one on my post also the same. I didn't realise it was a ashtray though as it doesn't have a lip on it. Thanks for information & price range
