I have had this for years its not in the best shape I was wondering if this was old I don’t know what the marking stand for on the bottom if you have any information that can help me, I no on pottery there’s a test that you can do to find out age something about how fast moister absorbs but don’t remember if it’s the fast or the slower it absorbers. I don’t know if this will help but it is 10” h and the opening is 7”a

I looks like a piece of stoneware high fire pottery to me. I don't recognize the name, but very often potters will sign the bottoms of their pieces in an ash glaze that fires out like this. some times they will date the piece, but I can't tell if this is the case here- probably not. It appears to be a nicely done piece, and if it is hand thrown pottery, it is one of a kind. There are lots of fine potters across the country- the few famous names that have been "imortalized" are just a small number of the fine potters that are really there. As to age- tough! This looks fairly contempory in style, but contempory is anything 1900 forward. Enjoy your piece, it is lovely
I did forget to mention that I did dig this up out of my yard I know I probably shoulda left it there it's not the prettiest thing but I was hoping someone to tell me something that could help me identify it.
