i 've called it a half pot, because i don't know what else to call it. the exterior has a hammered finish to it. on the bottom is stamped "the club aluminum co. i believe it was made in the 20's . the aluminum is very thick, almost a 1/4". the handle is 6 sided with a steel loop at the end for hanging. knob on lid is also original.
you are correct,my grandmother had, & we still have some of the club alum. it is a half pot so when you put two on one burner you could cook two different things, one in each pot.
Wow. never seen this.
Thanks for sharing.
2 0n 1 burner.? Whoever invented these was gettin...... pre.......T......smart.
Love that hammered finish also.
678.
It is an omelette pan.
Way to deep to be an omelet pan. Like nicky7 I grew up with these.
Now I remember where I've seen such pans together! Wipes omelette from face.
Gillian We all get a little egg on the face now and then. Good thing it cleans up easy.
This is WAY FUN -- I knew that GuardianWare made their 'triangle pans' (and have some of 'em) but somehow haven't ever come across these half/third pans too? Also wasn't quite aware that CLUB aluminum was a name much older than the 1960's-70's and the now ubiquitous harvest gold/olive green/etc. cookware (with TEFLON!) that was so popular then.
Is it actually the same "Club Aluminum Co." by the way??
