Looking for some further input, had this item forever, inhereted this from my Father. It is in near perfect condition with all lettering and little to no scratches. Not sure of exact age. I know it's from Scranton, PA Standard Brewery, My father owned a Scranton Meat Market and was also a collector of just about everything, got it himself way-back from a local buddy. I assume it was usually located near the taps for advertising , but could be used draw a draft and then skim off the top of the head with the blade inside the glass. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It is a holder for foam scrapers (there is one inside) The circular beer logo on the front was also used on ball type beer tappers.Your item is made of bakelite. You are correct.
