As far as I know, all of the tubes are original and still in working order. The power cable isn't connected to anything (the battery box?). I bought this for $18 and a tube turntable for $12 at "Swapper's Day" in Johnstown, OH. The tweed is completely intact and it's still really clean. Also, the back panel is still intact and fits snugly into the radio. I'm wondering how much this could be worth...
Your radio was manufactured in 1938 or 1939. It came in various finishes, including bakelite and your tweed version. Actually, your tweed is most likely covering a bakelite cabinet. I have no idea as to value, however, a PT-26, which is very similar and made at the same time, but AC powered, sold on Ebay this week for $29.99. Hope this helps. Tom
