Found this old cedar treasure chest after my grandpa passed away. Made of Cedar. Says "From the Ozarks" on the bottom corner and says "Treasure Chest" on top. I have my coin collection it in. Not sure of age

I can't give you the age but I can tell you they are fairly common items. I gave mine to my youngest son about 20 years ago. They also made other items of cedar like small jewelery boxes etc. New they sold for two or three dollars.

Yeah I figured it was pretty common. I think this one is from the 60s. We live pretty near the Lake of the Ozarks, so I'm assuming that's where its from

Look at the bright side. Most people threw them away. It was grandpa's, it is useful for your coins and you have something with a family history to pass along to another generation.

Oh yeah, it's definitely handy. Although I'm gonna have to get a bigger treasure chest soon lol
