Hello, I have a beer stein that belonged to my dad and I became the keeper when he died. I don't know much about it other than it belonged to my grandparents before him. My aunt once told me to be careful with it because it's worth a lot of money. I'm trying to find out some info on it, I'm not looking to sell it or anything like that, just want to know more about it.
The first image shows the three "sides" of the stein.
The second image shows the bottom, there's a number I can't really make out, the word Germany and a number 8. There's also what looks like a 5 with a line above it that isn't as prominant as the other markings.
The third image is the handle, I did some research and it resembles ones I saw by M. Girmscheid.
The last image shows the lid.
I'd just like to find out information about where it was made (besides Germany LOL), what year it was made, and what the images mean.
