My wife collects tiny perfume bottles. We unpacked the collection and found this. Fifties brass gold plated perfume atomizer lapel pin with its orignal fold out package with blue ribbon & bow. Ordered from the Ralston Cereal Co for 50 cents and oneShredded Ralston box top. Purina Mills who made animal feeds began making cereals in 1898 and became so sucessful the name was changed to Ralston Purina co in 1902. A major food manufactor the name was changed to Ralcorp and has gone thru numerous acquisitions and spin offs. I found one of these that sold on worthpoint in 2008 and was described as a very rare and hard to find item. Inside the folder describes this as a beautiful pin for your costume and popularized by Elizabeth Taylor currently seen in MGM's hilarous movie" Father Of The Bride". Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.
