The jema holland company produced clocks from the 1940's through to mid 1955, this one, the large single Macaw clocks being one of my favourites. It sits well in my collection as a mantle clock & compliments the (443) Double Macaw sideboard clock & the smaller again (412) Single Macaw bedside table clock. Apart from the fact that many people seem to admire the Macaw bird, as a collector it is of importance to me, to have this clock in the three sizes that were available. Jema holland didnt produce clocks in their latter years so to be able to have these within my collection is an absolute pleasure, they compliment the others in the range perfectly adding an exotic & foreign blend to the mix of creatures that Jema identified as worthy to produce as clocks. The Deer range for instance also came as a set within a set, in that they produced the magnificent (474) Stag, the equisite (459) mother deer & fawn, the (458) leaping deer & the bedside (420) young fawn clocks. I do showcase my Jema Clocks on collectors weekly & will keep adding the collection (& the lamps made by Jema Holland as well ) or you can also view the entire collection at my website www.jemaholland.com. Thanking you.
