I have this wonderful basket that is rather large. It is about 2 feet tall and I was told it is a Choctaw Indian basket used for storage. I am not sure and I have searched all over and I can't find anything similar to it. I think it is truly a one of a kind, but I could be wrong. Please help me out with any info you might know about it.

I have looked online and found a basket kind of like this on Ebay. It is listing number 160795386637. I know it looks like Cherokee or Choctaw and that is what I thought it might be at first too, but the design is different and had me stumped. But looking at the way the wood is tied to the basket, the double wrap used is the same as the ones I see on Ebay. I think this may be from Borneo Indonesia. This basket is really nice and not cheap either. Hope this helps out.

Thanks for the help. I am going to have to look into that aspect and that the basket could be from there. It would make sense, since it rains a lot there and it would need to be elevated. Thanks for the help. I took a few more pictures of some more baskets and hopefully I can post them soon.
