This is a wonderful pattern with authentic native designs. The problem is that I have no clue where this basket is from. It looks rather old and is a true gem. Please help me out with some information about it. Age, Purpose, Material, Region, Tribe, Value, Etc. Thanks a bunch and I look forward to your comments.

This is Alaskan, probably made by the Inupait tribe to sell. They used long grasses collected at certain times along the shore and inland, and used different dyes (mostly natural but they did use some commercial dyes as they became available) for the colors. These can go for anywhere between 100 to 300 or more, depending on the weave, design and damage if any.
