Here is the project almost cost me my marridge. No dear it won't cost much to restore... Here is my 1940's Coke water bath cooler. It took upwards of three months restore but it turned out pretty good. Once I got it home from my work shop my wife finally had to give in and say it was pretty cool. I knew I would win her over. Kraft dinner for six months.

Hey if it doesn't look good it isn't making it into the house. Them the rules.
Sorry I do not have any before photos. All the seller told me was it sat outside in the rain and snow for 8 years before I purchased it. I only paid $75 for it and he said it ran. For that price I took a chance on it.

Did you replace the decals on the inside of the lid?

I did not replace the lid decals because I could not find them.
Comment from tommy1002, yes $75 bucks was a steal. I couldn't get the money out of my pocket fast enough.

what shape are the decals in? I like the decals on the inside of cooler you should take picture of them usually they stay in pretty good condition because their inside the cooler.

I have the exact same unit that I am restoring right now. Do you know the model # of it? Where did you find the rubber gaskets for it. I cant seem to find them. I am also looking the the water agitator in the middle of the cooling coil. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you everyone for the very nice comments. To tell you the truth when I went into this project not knowing a thing about Coke machines and how much it would take to restore it.
      Buildert99:
Believe or not, I started my search for advice and parts by calling a restoration shop in Las Vegas that I found the internet. This was well before Pawn Stars and American Restoration. It turned out I was talking to Rick Dale. The rubber I purchased from Funtronics. They had the rubber I needed as well as the plastic lid inserts. As for the agitator I would call Rick Dale. My machine is a Kelvinator and was made in Canada so giving you the model # probably won't help you. I was fairly lucky because my machine came more or less complete and working. The only thing I would prefer is I wish the machine was a cooling unit rather than a water bath. It see's ice for party's not water.

Howdy just bought one similar doing cosmetic stuff now but could use some pointers on the working parts, the water bath part intrigues me. Mine has two filters in the bottom. Any help.

Loved your story as much about dealings with wife as with cooler. Be nice to meet you if you get to Montana look me up.

Any help will be appreciated as I ignernt

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. My latest find is a beat up but working Vendoo 44. This one might be 5 years of Kraft dinner and weiners.
Compressor runs, cools, evaporator unit runs and it cycles and the thermostat works.
When I first plugged it in I got zapped because the cord was in rough shape and the compressor would not come on. I replaced the cord and the compressor sprung to life. Wow! I turned the thermostat down as low as it would go and let it run for awhile. And wouldn't you know it, it cycled off. Another wow! It looks like I have a working Vendo 44.

Hello dadscookin. I was in touch with you a while ago regarding your cooler. I have the same one. I can't find anyone with parts. I need the gasket and one handle. The handle I can find but not the gasket. Is it possible for you to take a picture of the gasket you put on. One other thing. Do you have the model # of yours? I've been trying for quite a while now to get this thing done. Funtronics stated they don't have the gasket. I had sent them a picture of the one that is on mine. (wife is on my back to either sell it or finish it)

That cooler looks great. I just got one from a garage sale today for $130. My problem is that I don't have an information plate but I know that mine is identical to yours... It has the water agitator with the cage around it with the cooling coil around it. Same unit, but I can't figure out the model..... Could you tell me what unit it is... Thank you and any links to websites for any part would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hi there, i have 3 coca-cola coolers and they are all Kelvinator units. Does someone has any info on them? I can split one up for parts if ever.
      My models are fes-56, fes-57, and fes-60.
