Does anybody know anything about this doll? She has "Alexander" on her neck. I looked up Alexander Doll Company but couldn't find her. I have never seen a doll with joints like this. Her neck, arms and legs are all like this(pic#3)
You have a beautiful Cissy doll ! She should have high heel feet also right . Very collectible . Is she also 20 inches tall? Look at her clothes in all the seams I am not sure if outfit is original but thye did tag the clothes . She sells pretty high and her clothes also . She is likely the highest priced doll madame Alexander has on market for resale right now . :-)
One for sale right now and link to it . You can search Madame Alexander Cissy dolls on ebay to see more styles also

She has flat black shoes. The tag on her dress says "Binnie Walker" Do you have any idea how old she is or what she is worth?
OK then she is a Binnie I could not see her feet and they used same face :-)
1953-1955 Winnie Walker and Binnie Walker, 15, 18 or 25" tall, all hard plastic jointed body, wigged; Winnie Walker has a wig that is glued on the head and Binnie Walker has rooted hair on a a vinyl skull cap. Both used the Cissy face mold so this is the only way to tell the difference between the dolls. Usually marked: ALEXANDER.

I have one question because she is jointed she is on a cissy body , Can you take off her shoes to be sure her feet are flat ?

How much do you think she is worth
She is most apt to be the sought after Active Miss and Sweet Violet which were the only dolls with this body, which is probably why the dolls is so sought after by collectors — not to mention so valuable: It's unique Active Miss has the lovely Cissy face that was also used on Winnie Walker and Binnie Walker. The really interesting thing about her, though, is that her body is fully jointed: In addition to be jointed in the usual places (neck, shoulders, and hips), Active Miss is also jointed at the elbows, wrists, and knees.
Active Miss was only made for one year, 1954
Yes her feet are flat
Because she has the Cissy face and all original she would sell high ! in the hundreds . I hate to put a number to value as she is so unique in that she is in a tagged Binnie Dress but has the body made only one year she will sell high ! I know she is in a Binnie Dress and Active Miss was in a pink one as I recall . She is just a unique great doll ! Love her and she is a treasure .
Thank you so much
A photo of Active Miss and yes her dress was pink and she is rather a rare doll and I don't use that word much . I am just wondering if she was always in Binnies dress or could some one have swapped her clothes . How tall is she ?

17 inches, This one does not have jointed wrists
The only thing I can say is a possible scenario . In the 50's and in all doll making prior to the newer what they call "Collectible Dolls from 80's-90's " Dolls were just toys and companies tried to get as many out the door as possible and in doing so we know sometimes they ran out of parts and I am wondering if they just didn't use Cissy's arms on yours as the correct ones were not on hand . If no one has tampered with her and added the arms later we have to wonder if she is a factory put together . In that case she has not lost any value and may have gained some . She is a Binnie Walker with Cissy arms ? Great doll ! Is she missing her eyelashes on one eye ? That can be fixed .
I have wrote and published an article on Shirley Temple dolls that got out of factory with legs for another doll by Ideal . Back then they never considered people would collect old dolls or any toys , they were meant to played with .
Hope this helps
