I have a pair of Debenhams & Freebody silk shoes.
I believe them to be victorian. Having done some research into the brand i think the shoes are dated between 1893 to 1905.
The company started trading as Debenham & Freebody in 1851 - In July 1893 they made the Queens jubilee nurses cloak and earnt the right to have the Royal Crest stamp on their designs - In 1905 the company dropped 'Freebody' from their name and started trading as just 'Debenhams' as we know it today.
Inside there is a Royal crest mark - By Her Majesty's Special Warrant.
This is all i know about the shoes and would love to hear from anyone that could tell me any more information.
I'm ideally looking to find out how much they might be worth as i wish to sell.
So if anyone has any information or thoughts please don't hesitate to contact me!
Thank you :)
