I bought this today for $20. It's rusty and siezed up. I have no idea what it does but it must stamp numbers and letters onto something. It will stamp 10 digits and all can be either numbers or letters. There used to be a tag on it but it's gone now. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

I believe it was made to stamp checks with the amount payable.

It has some similarities to the check protectors but they generally only have numbers and this one has numbers and letters and it looks like it stamps on something vertically and not lying flat like the Paymaster. I'm pretty sure it's not that.

I inspected this item for marks while I was claning it up and it's a NatMar laundry marking stamper. I still don't know what model it is but there was an electric one on Ebay. This is hand powered. I soaked it for a day with WD-40 and it all began moving like it should. I think this would stamp a number on a cloth tag that was then heat pressed onto whatever piece of laundry needed to be marked.

Well, a very nice lady at Natmar got back to me and sent me a brochure wiich I can forward to anybody that leaves their email here. This is a NatMar LP-10, LP being short for Lever Principle and 10 for the 10 digit model. It also came in a 6 and 8 digit models. NatMar said it has been obsolete for a long time and no parts are available for it.
