I found this piece at a recent Estate Sale. It looks iridescent white.....until I tried to take pictures of it. It didn't matter what color I used for the background, in this case dark purple.... it looks purple and white. The best way to describe the colors are those in white opals. It's a substantial piece, irregular in shape, measure 9" across one direction and 11 1/4" in the opposite direction. The height varies because of the shape, but it stands about 4 1/2" tall at the highest point. Weighs about 3 lb., 7.2oz. Features a star burst design on the bottom which can only be seen and felt from the outside. Anyone know who the manufacturer may be....or how I should refer to this piece if I should decide to list it? The seller called it Moon glass.
Thanks!

Lovely. Like milk glass!
Wow, wow, wow. Hope Tall Cakes sees this. I bet she could ID it. Wow - gorgeous!
Reminds me of a jelly fish.
Yes, it is undulating - as a jellyfish would, and of course, the opalescence. What an astute observation.
It does look like Moonstone, maybe that's where she got that term. Google "Fostoria opalescent glass" and check this one out: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Fostoria-Glass-Heirloom-White-Opalescent-Bowl-/300703135014?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46034db526
Thanks for all of the responses to this item! I think I know "what I've got"!

Glass is so thick and opalescent. Striking.
