This is a 1934 Schiap de Schiaparelli perfume bottle. I found that same bottle online with 2 different stoppers, a cube, or a flat horizontal square. I don't know if I should wash the bottle ; the remaining perfume has dried out. I am afraid to destroy the label. Has anyone a clue as to its value?
Thanks for any help.
Don't wash it! You could carefully wipe around the label with a damp cloth not touching label. I would not rinse out the inside either - I would leave the dried up perfume intact as it may have some of the original scent - even though it looks a bit mucky - I am sure it adds to it's value.
Thanks Flowerrose! I saw that same bottle on e-bay or other site for $80 or $90 and even higher on a french site.
Great! Their are usually Schiap de Schiaparelli perfume bottles in the International Perfume Bottle auction run by Ken Loach and you would see more of their styles.
