I'd like to share a few of my depression shell art ornaments.
The first is a lovely plant pot that started it's life off as a tin. The centre has been cut into uniform columns and pushed out to give it this round form, then the whole tin hiddden has been covered with some sort of adhesive and shells placed. I have shown in the photo a small area of the old tin (botton right) where the shells over time have fallen of.
The second is was a letter/paper holder I think! which I find very handy to keep my candles in.
The third is a little babies shoe and along side that three large shells sitting on three smaller shells as the feet shells to make a condemn set.
The fourth is just an old counter sweet holder that has shells that I collect when walking on the beach.
I just love these things. Thank you for looking.
Thank you Manikin and scandinavian_pieces also for your sweet!!!! comment.....:-)
These are lovely!!
Mizjane....Thank you for your love and comment, I too! love these, it's the history behind them which I wish I new! the thought of someone years ago sitting, lovingly and delicately placing every little shell in it's place, being very creative, something I'm not!

I love this stuff. You have an amazing collection. There is an online auction sellinga few lots this week (at the-saleroom.com, by anthemion auctions for around £40 for three or 4 vintage pieces) but I've never bought at auction and I don't like the idea of commission etc. Will you be selling any of these in the near future or do you know where is the best place to get them?
Thank you missmalone87 that is kind of you to say so, I love it too! I can't tell you any place you can buy it as I picked them up over the years, and no! I'm sorry I love all my 'stuff' none of it is for sale, but thank you for asking!...:-)
Many thanks AmberRose!...:-)
