Awesome! I wouldn't let kids climb on it, but that's just me!

Nice old dome top trunk from the turn of the century. The web will give you lots of info on how to restore it if you wish. Be aware that these are very dangerous for kids. That little latch can close and lock a child inside. I had trunks when my kids were small -- I invested in small locks and screwed them in to make sure they never got in one. Keep your children safe and enjoy your find!

thanks! i will grab a little lock today to secure it up from curious little hands. it will stay put away in my room, but i will be bringing it out for my little models :) wow, i had no idea it was that old when i purchased it! snagged it for $20 and i couldn't be happier.

Jfs123: The 1902 Sears catalog has about 4 pages devoted to travel trunks-very good descriptions and prices-The orginal catalog is hard to come by but some very good reproductions available.
