Old GE Refrigerator that is still working. I don't know the age, but know the type is JB5-39-B which was on the back. Original manual and warranty certificates still were in the box. Would like to know what I have exactly and maybe what it's worth?
It looks like it's from 1937 and it could be worth $100-$300. Most people nowadays who buy these old appliances intend to use them and usually have them restored and painted. My point is, they don't pay too much for old refrigerators but the restoration is where the profit is.
The JB5-39 is a1939 model. 5 cubic ft of storage capacity. Original list price was $162.50
