Hi, this rocker was my great grandfather's I am told. I was told it was from the 1850's but really, I'm not sure. As you can see, it has been sitting my grandfather's old house, which no one lives in, so it is dusty and dirty. I am not sure of the wood - it is covered in leather, it looks like. It has the spring coil rocker system underneath. I am curious as to an approximate value. Can anyone help? My email is: sukiedorsey@netzero.net Thanks so much. Kevin in Advance, NC

If the seat is made of one piece of wood (instead of split wood) then it is very old and possibly handmade. If not, it is manufactured and not worth as much, but could still be in the hundreds if cleaned up a little.

Are the parts held together by metal screws or wooden pegs? I cannot tell.

I don't know if it's pegged or screws but I will find out. thank you for responding.
