got this from my wifes grandma can't find much info on it.was in her basement when they bought the place in the 50's.

Interesting looking old stove. Are there any other markings or numbers on it? Looks like someone used paint on it.
it says no 38
This is a laundry stove. What have been used with the old copper boiler to heat water for washing cloths, Thats the reason for the size and height.
There is an article about the company on the link below. The article is from 1928 but says the company started up in 1875.
