I got this item from my father, I am unsure of what exactly it is. It has the scabbard good condition, with only 1 metal ring on it. I looked it up online but I can't decide which particular thing it may be. Alot of the scabbards I saw that went with this kind of sword had two metal rings. It could be as old as 1840's or as new as WWI. If anyone has any idea of what exactly this is I would be most gracious. Thank you.

Thank you, it seems to have the right markings.
The Crown W 72 proof mark dates it as accepted into military service in 1872. I did a write-up on these here:
