Only got to a few sales Thursday then the rain hit. I think I like the fishing stuff and the longhorns the best out of this lot.

Nice loot. Any idea what the object that looks like a wire spider - with the ceramic finial picturing a Chinese face - is? miKKo

      Hi miKKoChristmas11,
You found one of the more "interesting" items from the morning. Turns out it is a head/scalp massager. Labeled 'Head Wizard' on the back.

      AmberRose,
Much of it was from the first sale of the morning, the good stuff goes fast. Usually the later in the day, the deeper I have to "dig" to find anything interesting. I happened to be in the right place at the right time and caught this sale (starting about about 1/2 hour later than most) just as they were putting up signs.

On the other hand, being in too much of a hurry sucks all the interest out of garage sailing for me. I see many of the same folks every week "out on the trail", most are are a friendly and amiable lot but there are a few "speed pickers" that are only interested in the numbers (bless their hearts). How little can I pay for it, how much can I sell it for and how much stuff can I get by the end of the day.
I like a good deal and finding stuff too but I find asking a question or two and taking the time to listen can be gratifying too. Maybe I spent a little too much time "talking" at that first sale but I got the chance to hear about the guy's brother's 11th hour "miracle" find after 20 unfortunate years of gold mining in Alaska, and about the fantastic antique firearm a friend inherited, and about his family tragedy in a blizzard near my home town.
