My squirrel exterminator just found this inkwell in my attic! My guess is that its from the late 1890's. Its very pretty and simple. It means a lot to me because I found it my house that I love so much.
I would like help in determining for sure its era and if it has any value. There are no markings on it.

It's fantastic! I love it! However - please excuse my ignorance! - are you sure it's an ink well? Does one unscrew the milk glass base from its caddy when one wants to use it and then cap the ink inside? Is the irregularly shaped milk glass item with the 'tear drop' form descending the lid? When I first saw it, I thought it'd be an antique lamp....Thanks. miKKo

it is curious? Im with miKKo, i dont get it either. Still luv the form, the bronz? & milk glass look killer together.

I can see the image better now. There is only one milk glass unit. I don't know what form one would call this. Tea Kettle doesn't seem to fit the bill. Love it!
