Dont know what year this was made, but I have had it for at least 30 years. I think I will mount it at the back of our future deck in the middle with ac and a light switch with a dimmer.

is there a "flip" lever that drops a smaller sized lens up/down on the inside of this?
    3. musikchoo musikchoo, 13 years ago

Does it mount on a square peg?And is it electric or oil?
    5. musikchoo musikchoo, 13 years ago
Yes, it mounts on a square base with a mounting ear in each corner. It burns with locomotive D.C. electric. Thanks for your interest.

Low-profile Yard switch stand lamp, should have two red lens 90 degrees from the blues. The DC current would be suppied with "Edison" batteries. 1940-1970's

Do you have the lens shield for daylight usage? Big Red piece of tin, so the train crew would see the red and know switch was thrown the wrong way
    10. musikchoo musikchoo, 13 years ago
No, I do not have a shield. I do have shields for my crossing lights tho.

I might have one or two in storage, I'll check and get back with you, might have to mail you one for your lamp. These are 5 1/2 in lens?
    12. musikchoo musikchoo, 13 years ago
Yes, that is correct. Thank you for the thought!
