    MYTHOS
    (12 items)

Stainless steel, and in the original boxes. The smaller ones are unmarked as to maker, but they look like Arne's work. An awesome thrift score for Wednesday- my mid-week/mid-century search day.

Nice to see them in the original boxes!

Thanks. The bigger box originally contained candles as well.

Does the smaller one have a manufacturer on it?
    4. MYTHOS, 13 years ago
No, they do not. I'm basing the identification from other ones I've seen. the bottoms state: Denmark, 18/8, Stainless.

Wow great find! Both Vetraio and Bellin collect this line so they are in the know!
    6. MYTHOS, 13 years ago
Odd, one of each size has NO markings on the bottom, but are identical to their box mates.

Hmm. I've always been unsure about whether all of these are by Stelton.
There were competitors in the stainless steel market: Scanli, Lundtofte etc.

I just checked the smaller box lid, and can see a stylized EB- Erik Bagger perhaps?
    9. MYTHOS, 13 years ago
Updated. The Steltons are all marked- there was some sticker goo on the fourth.
    10. vetraio50 vetraio50, 13 years ago
Just about the EB..... is there a crown on top?
There is also a maker still unknown that did them whose mark was EL with a crown on top.
    11. MYTHOS, 13 years ago
No, just an EB in cursive script.

There's some interesting stilton on etsy.

      Have you seen this ?
      Note the price!

I think the shapes in these rooms suggest the Arne name for these Stelton pieces. But I've never been able to work out who did the early designs for Niels Stellan Høm and Carton Madelaire at the Danish Stainless Factory in Fårevejle, Denmark.
Their names give us Stelton: Stellan + Carton = Stelton in 1960.

I have a really large salad bowl that comes from the early period. It's a very egg shape, not dissimilar to that bowl on etsy! I'll put it on CW tomorrow.
