Hi..
Thought everyone would like to see this great estate sale find I came across and purchased recently. It was in the closing hours when I got there and saw this sitting on a desk. I opened the battery compartment and say a 2005 EverReady AA in there. The clock was not working so I figured for a dollar it was worth a shot to see if a new battery would get it working. I took it home, cleaned the contacts and popped in the battery. the second hand moved..but did not sweep, kind of staying in one place. A little tap on the desk and it started sweeping and has kept perfect time ever since. The alarm also works. It measures 4 long x 2 wide x 1-1/4 deep.
I think it is from the 60's as the styling and Japanese quartz movement might indicate, though I am not sure.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for looking
Thanks B....I usually hit the sales looking for RC cars...but lately I have found a new niche..vintage clocks and transistor radios....the styling in the 60's stuff is really cool, IMHO.
Any idea what era this Bulova belongs to?
so you think thing this is 60's?..I'll check your stuff out..
