The restaurant has long since been demolished, the sign survived, trying to find out who owns the property to see if it may be for sale. The colors are still pretty vivid and the overall condition of the sign is not bad at all.

There is one JUST like this in Lake Charles. This wouldn't happen to be the same sign would it? I've been wondering who the property owner is too! lol

same sign............ lots of legal issues with the owners of the property.

Small world.... and a cool sign! Bummer about the legal issues. Do you know what happened to the old restaurant?

      Did anyone save the sign?

      (Sorry for the late reply.)

Neonking, yes, the sign was saved (I'm a Lake Charles resident by the way), and the sign was bought by Jay Ecker sometime around 2018, and he contacted Acme Sign Co. to discuss refurbishing the sign to say "The Panorama Music House", with all-new neon. Ecker bought a property on Broad Street in Lake Charles and turned it into the Panorama Music House. My Dad works at Acme Sign Co., and you know what's really cool? My dad has the panels that say "Burger"! They are in my very own father's possession! According to my dad, the sign originally said "The Panorama Steak House" with the word "Steak" italicized and fancy-looking, the same way the words "Burger" and "Music" looked.

The sign was destroyed by Hurricane Laura on August 27th, 2020, which is a bummer. But the Music House is closed for renovations and will open back up soon.

Thx for the update - cool that your Pop worked for the company that created the sign and has the original panels for it
