I got this back in 97 or 98, can't remember, but it was right after my mom passed away. I took a road trip to Kentucky and purchased it at Kentucky Hall of Fame. I play guitar by ear and I have always wanted a banjo. I picked it a little, but never really "learned" to play it. It just hangs out in the case it was bought in. It has sentimental value because of my mom's passing. My dad passed away 4 years later and he and I used to have alot of good times playing music. He played harmonica and the "spoons". There have been many a day and night when I played my guitar and dad played his instruments. He gave me a nice casio keyboard with all the quirky bottons for xmas a few years before he passed. I have gotten rid of some of my guitars , but have kept the keyboards and the banjo, for reasons stated above. Sometimes I think of selling the banjo because it is brand new and it needs someone who enjoys playing it. I wonder if it's value is worth anything or if my memories are more valuable. Anyways, thanks for letting me share some of my "picking" stories and hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful summer!
