I bought this bottle from an antique store in Bayshore on Long Island, NY about 15 years ago as my mother loves elephants. It appears to be what was manufactured or used as a wine bottle. See attached pics.
If you have any info to help me identify what this is, and the approximate value, i would appreciate it. Thanks.
This glass bottle is almost 34 inches tall, and the base is 6 inches in diameter.
wow nice. my wife loves elephants too.
That is amazing! I collect elephants and have over 200 but I have never seen one like that!!!!
Hello,
I do know your green elephant wine bottle well! I was given it brand new and full of wine by my parents for my 18th birthday gift (legal drinking age was 18 back in 1977). I too am an elephant collector and it was truly one of my favorites. Here's the sad part. About 10 yrs. ago (approx 2005) as it sat (unopened) in the corner of my dining room , another one of my collectibles, a heavy elephant bookend, slid off a shelf and smashed it! Major bummer, aside from chianti all over the wood floor, my very unique Ellie bottle was in a hundred pieces. Very sad, but I saved the label - I can email you a picture of the label if you contact me (my email is dexnanliu@cox.net) It says "Chianti, Product of Italy, imported by Joseph Victori
and Co. New York, N.Y." Hope this info helps you. I have never seen another like it.
The bottle was once filled with red table wine from Tuscany, Italy. The name is Strada Toscano and values at approximately $220. I hope you find this well.
