These things are pretty cool and it seems some of you may also enjoy taking a look at them.

These are old very early 1900's clock/thermostats. They are patented anywhere from 1907 to 1918 I do also have keys for some of them to wind up the clocks. Some thermostats and clocks work. 1890 to around the beginning of World War I had been considered the Brass Era. The reason being that it seems everything metal was made of brass during this time.

It seems someone put them on this wood board for display purposes. I have to figure out a way to take them off without ruining them. They seem to be nailed on somehow from the back to the piece of wood. I will figure it out somehow.... ; ) The 4th picture is the back of a seperate, yet similar one, that is not on the wood board.

Apparently the Honeywell company as we know it bought The Minneapolis Co. a ways back. So the history behind these is kinda cool.

    Peace out... : )

Steampunk? Not sure what you mean my friend. I was able to get them off by the way. They were just screwed in individually on the wood board. Came off pretty easily actually.

My comment of steampunk was not trying to be disrespectful electobacco. It's just the re-purposing of old items and making something more modern from them. I have seen old typewriters made into computer keyboards as an example.

No worries mrmajestic and no disrespect taken. Just making an effort to understand more where you were coming from with the comment. I have not heard the word used as you have before. Thank you for helping me become aware of it my friend. Good stuff.... : )

Thanks kerry for the comment. I knew you had to show some love for these guys or they would have gotten jealous of the others... ; ) They were all actually screwed onto the wooden board as well for on update on these. I was able to take them off.

Hey electobacco, I’m an author, writing a book that mentions the Jewell thermostat. May I have your permission to include one of your photos on this page in that book?
