As I know these very beautyful enameled earrings are from the Georgian periode (also from around 1800-1850, an antique jeweler told me even earlier from the end of 1700). The enamel is blue and white. and each has also 3 seedpearls. They have a fine rose/red stone. I think it might be an Almandine Garnet but also be a Tourmaline of a Rubin.
Have you any idea what kind of stone this can be? Please inform me?

Hi love the earrings i have a brooch nearly the same as these earrings or mine could be earrings as it has been joined at the back.I was told by a jeweler that the stones are burmese rubies. I have a picture of this on my show and tell. It has now been sold .It is 14 ct or 18ct gold not sure. has assay marks inside 1 of the leaves but very worn and tiny.have yours any assay marks on them?Mine was purchased from a fine estate in denmark as i thought the colours of enamel maybe patriotic?

They're almost certainly almandine or pyrope garnets, like you said. Deffinitely not rubies
Where did you get all your knowledge of antique jewelry, this question intrigates me, because you know a lot of this item. And how long are you intested in this subject?
Well, my parents dealt antiques all of their lives, and my mother specialized in jewelry. My whole life I was exposed to vintage/antique jewelry, seeing her wear it, seeing it in our store, seeing her bring it home, so I eventually acquired a little curiousity. When I started dealing antiques myself, I realized that I was making most of my money with jewelry, and that inspired me to study and research as much as I could, so I could sell it better. Learning so much about jewelry, I grew very fond of it and even started a little collection of my own, and thats where I am today : ]
