trunkman
(149 items)
I was driving in the rain one day and was stuck in traffic. As I waited I saw this trunk sitting in a junk pile by the road. I was painted green and red. I took some circa 1850 paint stripper and removed all the paint and then I used a rotary drill with a brush and cleaned up the tin. I really love how it came out. It now adorns my brother-in-law's home.
I posted different pics of my chest... think I have to get a "real" appraisal.
Thanks for all your info! Looks like you have another winner
Appreciate the visit and the comments, Belling68, manikin, walksoftly, kimjcmurphy, and mikkichristmas11.
Awesome chest! Looks like something straight out of a movie or a game, like it belongs in the ground or the corner of a castle, or end of a dungeon.
Thanks for the imaginative placements pawpaw -- I am looking at it quite differently now -- in a way my basement is a dungeon! (my home a castle!)

A finished example for Amada Rogers. This trunk had been completely painted red and green.
