If you can un-screw the back and read the serial number and name on the movement, I can tell you about your watch.

      Hi Raymond,
What you have is a size 18s. Grade "73" Elgin 7-Jewel open face pocket watch c. 1895. I would have to see a very clear picture of the dial to give you the exact number however; the value is in the dial and its condition. I hope this helps.

Thanks Jim,Can't get a good enough pic for you but it is clean, has one small hole between III and IIII, minute hand is broken. Is there any range of price that is available? Not looking to sell it but just wondering, I'm sure it was my Grand Dads and wouldn't want to just get rid of it. Unless it was worth Thousands and thousands . Also a bunch of old coins to go thru.

      Hi Raymond,
The watch is fairly common and is worth around $75-$100. If the dial were perfect with no hairlines or chips, it could bring $175 and more.
